I had to sell my mother’s apartment to fund her going into aged care. Having never sold a property before, my primary focus in engaging a real estate agent was that they were trustworthy and professional, as well as providing a very high standard of customer service.

I decided from the outset that I did not want to engage one of the major ‘high-flying’ real estate franchisees. I preferred to give my family’s business to an independent agent. I undertook a ‘Google’ search for agents within close proximity of the property I wanted to sell and found Rainbow Bay Realty. I went to the agency and after introducing myself at reception, Belinda Trotman came out of her office to meet me. I was immediately impressed with Belinda. She seemed genuinely interested in talking to me. One thing that stood out to me was that Belinda introduced herself using her full name. I find this rarely happens these days, with most people simply providing only their given name.

My wife and I subsequently met with Belinda at my mother’s apartment to obtain her opinion about the property. She took the time to discuss the potential selling price of the apartment as well as giving suggestions about improvements that could be made prior to putting the apartment on the market. At no time did I feel any high-pitched sales pressure from Belinda.

I also sought opinions from two other agents about the property. Their interest in wanting to assist us fell well short of Belinda’s advice and assistance. As a result, I engaged Belinda as agent. I took her advice to replace the carpets as well as repaint the apartment, which I did myself. An example of Belinda’s ‘can do’ attitude was when I was having difficulty with the evenness of the final coat of paint. I contacted Belinda, and she said she would ask a
painting contractor to contact me. He subsequently did and came to the apartment to paint the final coat for a small fee.

Sadly, my mother passed away shortly after listing the property, which resulted in it having to be taken off the market. Belinda was extremely thoughtful in sending flowers to us after Iadvised her of Mum’s passing. Following processing of the estate, I again listed the property with Rainbow Bay Realty with Belinda as the agent. Belinda, and her assistant Brittney Nicholls, were very proactive with inspections. Belinda always updated me by phone following the inspections.

Both Belinda and Brittney went the ‘extra mile’ assisting me. I was living a considerable distance from the apartment and wanted to sell as much of the furniture as possible. I advertised the various items on Gumtree for sale, which Brittney helped facilitate. I cannot speak more highly of the service I received from both Belinda and Brittney. Belinda is a highly effective oral communicator who I always found ready and willing to listen to me
and deal with any issues or questions. Brittney was an excellent assistant to Belinda where nothing was too much trouble.

Overall, I had a very positive experience in engaging Belinda as the agent to handle the sale of my Mum’s apartment in what was a difficult time emotionally. Belinda negotiated a fair price for the sale of the apartment. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Belinda Trotman to handle the sale of your property in an honest, friendly and professional manner.

Real Estate Agents, like many sales professions, don’t always enjoy the best public profile. Having holidayed at Coolangatta for many years, and watched the market for several months, I recently decided to inspect a property at Coolangatta being marketed by Belinda Trotman, the General Manager of Rainbow Bay Realty. From our first meeting and inspection of the property, I was impressed by Belinda’s straightforward and professional approach, and that continued through negotiations and my subsequent purchase of the property. Everything was done efficiently and with a refreshingly open and helpful attitude.

I am writing to you to express my utmost gratitude and satisfaction toward one of your staff, Belinda Trotman.
About six months ago I placed my apartment on the market with another real estate agency. During that time I had only a small amount of inspections and no offers. I was constantly being told it was the market and there was nothing I could do.
Six weeks ago, after using three other agents, I decided to give Belinda a call.
Due to the timely manner in which I needed to sell the property Belinda suggested an auction campaign. Whilst initially I was not open to the idea of auction, Belinda talked to us about what we needed to achieve in the way of a sale price and the time frame in which we wanted to sell. Auction was clearly the way to go.
I did not necessarily like what Belinda had to say regarding price but she was able to back up her comments with facts. Belinda Trotman is a shining example of a wonderful, conscientious, real estate agent with integrity and honesty reflected in the way she works. I've been buying and selling property since 1981 in different States of Australia and Belinda has been by far the best sales professional, in particular with her communication and results.
Having engaged Belinda just 3.5 weeks ago, I've sold a property in this low market. Three open homes with more than 28 inspections and 6 contract requested at the first open which was relieving in this market. Initially I was a little uncomfortable about the price range being suggested, which in reality was less than 5% below my optimistic thought, however, Belinda maintained her stance about the price she believed we could achieve and how it was her intent to start with 'interest around' the figure in my mind. Belinda was spot-on and a quick sale has been much better than hanging on for an unrealistic price.
Belinda took quality time to ensure the best photo's, best advertising copy - checking with me before posting any adverts, and a staged, realistic marketing schedule to attract a high number of intended purchasers.
I was impressed to find I wasn't pushed into a high-cost print advertising campaign, instead the focus was on quality and proven methods which brought results. The property was sold, after receiving 3 offers, at a price mid-range of Belinda's suggested result with an unconditional contract and short settlement.
Communication was the best I've ever known, almost to the point of, 'Belinda, again?’ Always honest, factual and alerting prospective buyers to slight problems with a tact I believe in - tell them everything up-front rather than wait for building inspection feedback which can delay a sale. Belinda called immediately after each open house and personal inspection, whatever the time of day and followed up with a very comprehensive email.

Upon contacting Col Wright regarding the purchase of our new property we find Col to be very helpful and very professional at his job. We found Col Wright to be very honest and very trust worthy. Belinda Trotman is a shining example of a wonderful, conscientious, real estate agent with integrity and honesty reflected in the way she works. I've been buying and selling property since 1981 in different States of Australia and Belinda has been by far the best sales professional, in particular with her communication and results.

Having engaged Belinda just 3.5 weeks ago, I've sold a property in this low market. Three open homes with more than 28 inspections and 6 contract requested at the first open which was relieving in this market. Initially I was a little uncomfortable about the price range being suggested, which in reality was less than 5% below my optimistic thought, however, Belinda maintained her stance about the price she believed we could achieve and how it was her intent to start with 'interest around' the figure in my mind. Belinda was spot-on and a quick sale has been much better than hanging on for an unrealistic price.

Belinda took quality time to ensure the best photo's, best advertising copy - checking with me before posting any adverts, and a staged, realistic marketing schedule to attract a high number of intended purchasers.

I am writing to you to express my utmost gratitude and satisfaction toward one of your staff, Belinda Trotman.
About six months ago I placed my apartment on the market with another real estate agency. During that time I had only a small amount of inspections and no offers. I was constantly being told it was the market and there was nothing I could do.

Six weeks ago, after using three other agents, I decided to give Belinda a call. Due to the timely manner in which I needed to sell the property Belinda suggested an auction campaign. Whilst initially I was not open to the idea of auction, Belinda talked to us about what we needed to achieve in the way of a sale price and the time frame in which we wanted to sell. Auction was clearly the way to go.

I did not necessarily like what Belinda had to say regarding price but she was able to back up her comments with facts. I was hoping to maybe renovate the bathroom at some point in the future, but there is no rush or timeframe on that plan at this stage. I don't want to inconvenience the tenant, more so provide tenants/prospective tenants with an additional level of comfort.

After many years of self - managing our block of units in Rainbow Bay, we were at a real estate evening and by chance met Belinda Dinsey from RBR Property Consultants.

We were immediately impressed with Belinda and decided on the spot to give her the management of our block of units in Rainbow Bay.

We have never looked back.

Life has been a lot more pleasant since Belinda and the RBR team took over taking all the challenging work from us.

Belinda suggested we increase the weekly rent on each unit, which covered the management fee, and has guided us through all the decision-making processes in relation to the tenants.

We now have regular inspections, smoke detectors are regularly changed and checked, and rents are regularly reviewed. Tenant changeovers are seamless with all maintenance and cleaning efficiently organised with minimal vacancy between tenancies.

Our only regret is that we wish we had handed the units over years ago.
